On December 14, 2017, a conference organized by DoNEC took place. The presented issues included, among others: the security of the Baltic Sea Region and the strategic importance of the Arctic. In addition, new directions of the Department’s development were discussed.
In February 2017, Professor Dr. hab. Krzysztof Kubiak became the new Chair of the Department. Professor Kubiak is a lieutenant commander, retired, graduate of the Naval Academy in Gdynia and of the University of Gdańsk. On June 21-23, 2016 under the auspices of the Polish Society of European Studies, the VII National European Studies Methodology Workshop took place. It was the first initiative of this kind in Kielce. DoNEC organized the workshop and the associated conference titled “Security Policy of the European Union.”
In May 2016, DoNEC organized the conference “Polish Foreign Policy in the Changing International World Order” (see the film on YouTube and post-conference materials). The conference brought together a few dozen experts in the field of foreign policy analysis. We do hope to make the event cyclical.
